Apartheid is a rigid policy of segregating and politically and economically oppressing a population. Israel has been doing this to Palestinians since 1948, forcibly evicting them from their homes, denying them access to clean water, holding them in prison without right to trial, among other atrocities. The systemic violence of the Israeli government against Palestinians constitutes apartheid.

Genocide is the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group. In October 2023, Israeli forces, backed by funding from the United States, dropped more bombs in two weeks than the US did on Afghanistan for a year in 2019. Israel bombed refugee camps, hospitals, schools, grocery stores and homes. It cut off water and fuel to Gaza. It bombed so called, "safe passages" out of the designated bombing areas. Politicians may debate whether these killings officially constitute a genocide or not, but in the end hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are still dead and displaced due to US funded Israeli attacks. No matter what word you use to describe it, we still stand against it.
